William R. Warnock, Jr.

Bill helps owners, developers, homebuilders, contractors and subcontractors navigate the various legal challenges arising from construction projects and construction claims of all types. Having practiced for over twenty years, Bill draws on his experience to help his clients solve problems.   

Bill regularly drafts and negotiates complex construction and design contracts. He also advocates for his clients in construction litigation and arbitration. Bill is especially experienced in construction defect litigation and works closely with clients to reach their best net financial result. Bill also represents clients in payment and delay claims. 

Prior to moving to Charleston in 2007, Bill practiced in Anchorage, Alaska for several years after clerking for the Alaska Court of Appeals. Bill began his practice with Buist, Moore, Smythe & McGee, PA and practiced with the firm for 19 years as it transitioned to Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC and then Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP. Along with his three partners, he founded Harper Warnock Weatherholtz & Wilson, LLC in 2026 with a focus on real estate, construction, and litigation.
